Dental Emergencies We Can Help With
If you’re not sure whether your situation is urgent, call us. Our team can talk through your symptoms and help you decide on the next step.
Tooth Pain
A toothache that keeps you up at night or doesn’t go away can point to a cavity, a cracked tooth, or an infection. Rinse gently with warm water, avoid very hot or cold foods, and use over-the-counter pain relief only as directed on the label. Call us so the cause can be found and treated.
Broken or Chipped Tooth
Rinse your mouth with warm water and save any pieces of the tooth. A cold compress on the cheek can reduce swelling. Try not to chew on that side. Even a small chip can have sharp edges or expose the inner tooth, so it’s worth having it checked soon.
Swelling or Discomfort
Swelling in the gums, jaw, or face can be a sign of infection and shouldn’t be ignored. Call us as soon as you notice it. If swelling is severe or spreading, see the section below on when to go to an emergency room.
Lost Crown or Filling
Keep the crown or any pieces if you can, and avoid sticky or hard foods. Brush gently around the area. Don’t use household glue. Call us and we’ll let you know how soon to come in so the tooth stays protected.
